Just because we temporarily closed the doors for awhile, to both our old and new spaces, doesn’t mean we haven’t been working our butts off.
Happy to report, that the big move is complete. We sold, salvaged and donated a huge amount of inventory the last six months. It is a big job, to sort through thirty years worth of salvage. We even had some giveaways toward the end. We are proud of our past, the improvements we made to the 507 building, the part we played in the redevelopment of Northeast Minneapolis and now its time to move forward. City Salvage @2800 Washington Ave. N has come to life. We’re headed in a new and exciting direction. Ready to take on the future.
The new building has been transformed. Our demo crew has removed dropped ceilings, old carpet, fluorescent lighting and so many more things that were not original to the structure. We uncovered some fabulous architectural details, original wood paneling, wood floors, and much more. The sandblasters did their magic last week. The joists and beams are back to natural, raw and beautiful.
The most exciting part is picking out new stuff. We scouted out a few, choice additions to the new City Salvage collection. The French Zinc bar pictured above is our latest addition. Cool and sexy, huh?
We are in the final stages, resetting the floor and reorganizing. Come mid March, early April at the latest we will re-open the new doors of these new digs. We think you will all be pleasantly surprised. In fact, we hope to blow you away with what we have in store.
